John Bull (1562 or 1563 – 15 March 1628) was an English composer, musician and organ builder. He was a renowned keyboard performer of the virginalist school and most of his compositions were written for this medium.

- John Bull (circa 1562 - 13 maart 1628) was een in Engeland geboren organist en componist. John Bull was achtereenvolgens organist van de kathedraal in Hereford en de Koninklijke Kapel in Londen. Hij behaalde de doctorsgraad in de muziek in zowel Cambridge als Oxford. In 1613 ging hij naar Brussel, waar hij organist werd in de aartshertogelijke kapel en later van de kathedraal van Antwerpen, waar hij naast Peter Philips werkte. Bull verliet Engeland nadat hij door zijn controversiële levenswijze in opspraak was gekomen. Hij keerde er nooit meer terug en overleed in Antwerpen. (nl)

Około 1573 roku wstąpił do chóru przy Chapel Royal, gdzie odebrał edukację muzyczną u Williama Blithemana. Po ukończeniu nauki w 1582 roku pracował początkowo jako organista katedry w Hereford, by w 1585 roku powrócić do Chapel Royal jako jej członek. Po śmierci Blithemana w 1591 roku został organistą Chapel Royal. Uzyskał stopień bakałarza (1586) i doktora (1592) na Uniwersytecie Oksfordzkim.
