  • Philipp Maintz (* 28. Februar 1977 in Aachen) ist ein deutscher Komponist. Maintz studierte Komposition bei Michael Reudenbach, Robert HP Platz und elektronische Musik bei Karlheinz Essl, ferner ergänzte er seine Studien durch Arbeiten am CRFMW (Centre de Recherches et de Formations Musicales de Wallonie) der Universität Lüttich und am IRCAM (Institut des Recherches et Coordinations Musicales) in Paris. Neben Auszeichnungen und Stipendien erhielt er 2005 den Förderpreis der Ernst von Siemens Musikstiftung und 2007 ein Stipendium der Bundesregierung für die Cité Internationale des Arts Paris. 2009 erhielt er ein Stipendium für die Akademie Schloss Solitude. Im Jahr 2010 absolvierte er einen Jahresaufenthalt an der Villa Massimo in Rom. (de)
