  • Attilio Malachia Ariosti (5 de novembro de 1666 – 1729) foi um compositor, cantor e instrumentista da Itália. Foi ordenado monge em 1688 mas logo pediu para deixar o hábito, tornando-se compositor da corte do Duque de Mântua e Monferrato. Em 1692 tornou-se diácono e organista da Igreja de Santa Maria dos Servos em Bolonha. Em 1697 foi para Berlim a pedido da Eleitora Sofia Carlota de Hanôver, uma ativa patrona da música, passando a trabalhar em sua corte e escrevendo numerosas óperas de sucesso.
