  • Morceau de concours écrit pour le Conservatoire, Debussy lui-même faisait partie du jury. La 1ère audition eut lieu le 16 janvier 1911 avec Prosper Mimart à la clarinette, accompagné par Krieger au piano, à la Société Musicale Indépendante, Salle Gaveau. La version pour orchestre, faite par Debussy en 1911, fut créée à Paris, le 3 mai 1919, par les Concerts Pasdeloup avec Gaston Hamelin à la clarinette sous la direction de Rhené-Bâton. Jacques Charlot a fait une transcription de l'oeuvre pour piano 2 mains
