| - Style musical représenté par Django Reinhardt et Stéphane Grappelli. La relève a tout d'abord été prise par ceux qui côtoyaient Django Reinhardt, notamment la famille Ferret dont les représentants actuels sont les frères guitaristes Boulou et Elios Ferré. En introduisant le jazz dans la culture manouche, Django a réussi à créer un nouveau folklore. Les musiciens manouches lui vouent un véritable culte, dont la célébration se concrétise par un festival qui a lieu tous les ans à Samois-sur-Seine, où l'on va même jouer sur la tombe du musicien pour lui rendre hommage.
Le jazz manouche revient devant le grand public au milieu des années 1990 grâce à des artistes comme Angelo Debarre, Romane, Moreno. On peut également citer un certain nombre d'artistes qui se situent plus ou moins dans l'esprit du jazz manouche : Stochelo Rosenberg, Biréli Lagrène, Romane, Raphaël Faÿs, Jimmy Rosenberg, Tchavolo Schmitt, Angelo Debarre, Serge Krief, Dorado Schmitt, David Reinhardt, Christophe Lartilleux, Christian Escoudé (...). D'autres artistes, de variété cette fois, tels que Sanseverino s'inspirent également du jazz manouche. (fr)
