Michael Rabin (May 2, 1936 – January 19, 1972) was an American violinist. He has been described as "one of the most talented and tragic violin virtuosi of his generation." His complete Paganini "24 Caprices" for solo violin are available as a single CD, and an additional six CD set contains most of his concerto recordings. Despite his brief career—he died at 35—they remain seminal recordings of each of the pieces. His first London appearance took place on 13 December 1954, at age 18, playing the Tchaikovsky Concerto in D at the Royal Albert Hall with the BBC Symphony Orchestra.
