Not to be confused with Harold Samuel, Baron Samuel of Wych Cross Harold Samuel (23 May 1879 – 15 January 1937) was a distinguished English pianist and pedagogue. He was one of the first pianists of the 20th century to focus purely on the works of Johann Sebastian Bach, and was known for his academic and cerebral approach. He was also a minor composer.
