Karl Doppler (September 12, 1825, Lemberg – March 10, 1900, Stuttgart) was a Hungarian flute virtuoso, conductor, music director, composer. He was the younger brother of the composer Franz Doppler and father of the composer Árpád Doppler. He worked until 1865 as music director at the Theater in Budapest, and from 1865 to 1898 as the Hofkapellmeister in Stuttgart. He composed several Hungarian operas, a collection of Hungarian folk dances and choirs.

Der Bruder von Franz Doppler war Flötenvirtuose und bis 1865 Musikdirektor am Theater in Budapest, danach von 1865 bis 1898 Hofkapellmeister in Stuttgart. Er komponierte mehrere ungarische Opern (u. a. A gránátos tábor - Das Feldlager der Grenadiere, 1853), Musiken zu ungarischen Volksstücken, eine Sammlung ungarischer Volkstänze und Chöre. Auch sein Sohn Árpád Doppler wirkte als Komponist. Seine Tochter Olga Doppler-Alsen war eine Theaterschauspielerin. Harry Alsen, ebenfalls Theaterschauspieler, der mit ihr verheiratet war sein Schwiegersohn. (de)

Tot 1865 was Karl Doppler muzikaal leider van het theater in Boedapest, daarna hofkapelmeester in Stuttgart. Hij schreef een aantal Hongaarse opera's (onder ander A gránátos tábor, 1853), muziek voor Hongaars volkstoneel, een verzameling Hongaarse volksdansen, koorwerken en samen met zijn broer Franz muziek voor twee fluiten en piano.
