Mario Ancona (28 February 1860 – 23 February 1931), was a leading Italian baritone and master of bel canto singing. He appeared at some of the most important opera houses in Europe and America during what is commonly referred to as the "Golden Age of Opera".

Il 21 maggio 1892 fu il primo Silvio nei Pagliacci, al Teatro Dal Verme di Milano, diretto da Arturo Toscanini, opera che interpretò anche al suo debutto al Covent Garden, nel 1893, e al Metropolitan, in entrambi i casi nel ruolo di Tonio. Il 3 dicembre 1906 fu Riccardo ne I puritani all'inaugurazione della Manhattan Opera House. La sua carriera internazionale lo portò ad esibirsi, tra l'altro, a Lisbona (Teatro S. Carlos, tra il 1897 e il 1912), Buenos Aires, Madrid, Città del Messico, New York e Parigi. Oltre che in italiano, cantò in francese e in tedesco. (it)

El 21 de mayo de 1892 fue el primer Silvio en Pagliacci, en el Teatro Dal Verme de Milán, bajo la dirección de Arturo Toscanini, ópera que interpretó también en su debut en el Covent Garden, en 1893, y en el Metropolitan, en ambos casos en el papel de Tonio. El 3 de diciembre de 1906 fue Riccardo en I puritani, en la inauguración de la Manhattan Opera House. Se retiró en 1916. Murió en Florencia, a causa de un tumor, tras, una larga enfermedad. (es)
