Cláudio Roditi (born May 28, 1946 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil) is a Brazilian jazz trumpeter resident in the United States. After arriving in the United States in 1970, he began to study at Berklee School of Music, where he became musically influenced by Clifford Brown and Lee Morgan. In 1976 he moved to New York City and began to establish himself as a formidable jazz figure. Currently he leads his own band and frequently travels as a member of Dizzy Gillespie's United Nations Orchestra.

  • Claudio Roditi (Rio de Janeiro, 28 mei 1946) is een Braziliaanse jazz-trompettist en bugelist. Roditi hoorde als jongen veel jazzplaten bij een oom en dat bepaalde zijn muzikale richting. Toen hij twintig was, was hij een finalist in de International Jazz Competition in Wenen. Na enige tijd in Mexico Stad te hebben gewoon en gespeeld ging Roditi in 1970 naar Amerika om aan Berklee School of Music te studeren. Na een jaar studie aan Berklee bleef hij in Boston hangen en speelde hij met de groep van Alan Dawson. In 1976 vertrok hij naar New York City, waar hij speelde en/of opnam met bijvoorbeeld Joe Henderson, Tito Puente, Charlie Rouse en Herbie Mann.
