Ruggero Chiesa (Camogli, 1 August 1933 – Milan, 14 June 1993) was an italian musician, guitarist and teacher. He began studying classical guitar privately with Mario Canepa, continuing his studies with Maestro Carlo Palladino, a student of Luigi Mozzani. From 1956 and 1960 he attended the Academy Chigiana in Siena courses by renowned international guitarists such as Alirio Diaz and Emilio Pujol, from whom he learned the vihuela. He subsequently (until 1992) replaced Alirio Diaz with courses in "Transcription from tablature".
